Installing the MetaMask Extension
1. Visit the MetaMask Website:
Open your web browser and navigate to the official MetaMask website.
2. Download the Extension:
Click on the "Download" button on the homepage. Select your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge) to download the MetaMask extension.
3. Install the Extension:
Follow the instructions to add the MetaMask extension to your browser. Once installed, you will see the MetaMask icon in your browser's toolbar.
Setting Up MetaMask
1. Create a New Wallet:
Click on the MetaMask icon in your browser's toolbar to open the extension. Click "Get Started" and then "Create a Wallet." Follow the prompts to create a strong password for your wallet.
2. Secure Your Recovery Phrase:
MetaMask will generate a 12-word recovery phrase. Write this phrase down and store it securely. This recovery phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if you forget your password or lose access to your device.
3. Confirm Your Recovery Phrase:
MetaMask will ask you to confirm your recovery phrase by selecting the words in the correct order. This step ensures you have accurately recorded your recovery phrase.
